Cinematography Challenge

In this project, we were assigned to make a short film based on a painting we chose - Mysterious woman by Andreea Oprisan. In our short film, we aim to focus on colour science; by making red the main colour theme we can explore different connotations: power, love, anger etc. This colour aligns well with the blues included in the painting which symbolizes sadness, pain etc. We decided to set our short film in the 1970s to emphasize our chosen themes of effect of patriarchy, love and relationships, silence of female voice and self-discovery.
